The eScribe sets out a radical programme of change for the personal development and education of young people.
This new perspective comes out of the frustration of the existing education systems that do not develop the full potential of young people.
The Education Scribe is a new digital subscription journal that has a simple philosophy. It is based upon empowering young people to succeed through enterprise, endeavour, energy, decision-making and in making informed choices to develop healthy life styles that they aspire to.
The aim is for young people to become as independent as possible and to play an active part in their communities.
The old education system based upon exams, assessment and a narrow curriculum has failed generations of young people.
The Education Scribe sets out a compelling agenda for ‘Whole Education’ and an emphasis on personal development of young people.
It moves away from the dogma and doctrine of the traditional academic debates about the nature of education. It simply focuses on facilitating young people to develop lifestyles and learning that suits their abilities, interests and personal needs. There is an emphasis upon vocational, work related learning and enterprise education.
This is engaging and motivating to a wide range of learners. Individual learning pathways are customised to the interest, needs and abilities of the students.
Important key life skills are developed through this approach. It is not about grouping students and then putting them into cohorts following the same narrow, mediocre curriculum and then testing them.
The Education Scribe sets out to develop radical new thinking in education that frees students, organisations’ and professionals to prepare young people for the demands of the 21st-century.
